Obviously, if you want to convert the HLG gamma/gamut to Rec.709 you also need to tone map (either automatically or manually) as well. If you only want to change the gamut you should make sure you either select gamut mapping at the project level or use the Gamut Mapping OFX because the Rec.2020 gamut is much larger than the Rec.709 gamut. "For HLG and HDR10 I think it is best to use the Rec.2100 definitions. I use the CST plugin exclusively because it offers the best of both worlds. I have some experience with the Leeming Luts, S-Cinetone, and SLog3 footage in the Sony cameras so I will offer a short response. I use the CST plugin exclusively because it offers the best of both worlds. However, the CST doesn't clip the levels like the LUT does, so it's a more flexible option. " You can also use the Colour Space Transform OFX (CST) plugin to access the Resolve colour management profiles listed above, but on a clip-by-clip basis like the LUT. It’s not necessarily bad that the footage looks overexposed when applying the LUT you should be able to just turn down exposure in. Also make sure you set zebra type to LOWER LIMIT and 99+. Note that it recommends HLG and HLG3 and not HLG2. Make sure you read the setup guide from Leeming luts. Paul's LUT has the advantage that it can be used when the project is not color managed in this way, so you can mix and match footage" Expose to the right (ETTR) until you see zebras. In this way I am getting quite similar results - I haven't compared color accuracy, etc, but in general both look georgeous. Play a little bit with the curves and the LUT. 3) In the inspector, click on Color Space Override, and select Rec. The LUT’s work best with flat image picture profiles. 2) In the inspector, click on Camera LUt, and choose Leeming LUT One - Sony HLG for Rec.709 from the dropdown menu. Especially if you've been using LM for awhile, EC can look especially wrong on. The LM lut heavily prefers ETTR, while EC is best suited to a moderate exposure (middle gray at 40IRE), to avoid placing key scene elements in the rolloff. Cube files are included, which is the industry standard file type for LUT editing. A big thing with those coming from Leeming is that footage exposed for it will not be ideally exposed for EC. Rec 709 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Output Color Space The Wedding LUT Pack is compatible with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer and After Effects. Rec 2020 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Timeline Color Space Rec 2020 HLG ARIB STD-B67 for Input Color Space In Project Settings, under Color Management, Change to Davinci Color Managed In another note, besides Paul's excellent HLG LUT, you can also use HLG natively with Resolve 14 for Rec 709 delivery: "Yes, HLG is available with 6K anamorphic mode. From a previous post from someone here, this is what I use: Leeming LUT Pro is compatible with any software or hardware device that supports a 33x33x33 cube LUT.
